Durban & South Coast: A number of offshore craft are available for charter. Experienced skippers and high tech equipment & tackle will ensure anglers experience the pleasures of a day at sea. The warm Mozambique current makes its way close to shore and brings with it a concentration of a wide variety of pelagic game fish including: tuna; yellowtail; king mackerel; bonito; dorado; sailfish; black, blue & striped Marlin.
Reef fishing will
produce: black & red steenbras; kob; santa & Rock-cod. Shad (bluefish )
are plentyfull. The best months to fish are May - July so as to coincide with
the famous "sardine run". Tiger Fishing at Lake Jozini: Situated in Northern Zululand adjacent to Swaziland the lake covers 16 000 hectares, with a river stretch of approx 5 km. Fishing takes place from boats as the shoreline is crowded with semi-submerged trees and not to mention the large population of hippos and crocodiles on the water. The ideal times to pursue them would be most of our summer months from September through to may. Accommodation is available in house-boats and game lodges. |

Salt Water Fly Fishing at Kozi Bay:
Kosi Bay lies on the north-eastern tip of South Africa bordering on Mocambique. This remote pristine river estuary lies within a protected reserve. Angling is done from small boats as the shoreline is host to crocodiles and hippos. The grand prize for the salt-water fly angler is undoubtedly the mighty kingfish. These ferocious fighters will test your skill and equipment. Fish of over 10 kg are common. The best months are: Oct; Nov; Jan; April; June; August & September. |
