FOREST WAGON TRAILS
Experience the romance of a bygone era with a horse drawn carriage ride through the forests down to a private unspoilt paradise on the rugged coastline. The outward journey takes approximately 40 minutes and culminates at a private and secluded, panoramic viewpoint, where passengers may alight from the carriage for 30 minutes to take photographs, enjoy a cool drink and have a stroll before the return trip. Forest Wagon Trails has, for your convenience an information centre, children’s play area and a Tea Garden where one can relax either before or after the ride. Weather permitting carriages leave Forest Wagon Trails on the hour from 9am to 5pm in summer and 9am to 4pm during winter. Children are half price (subject to seat availability)

Knysna Elephant Park
An opportunity to touch and feed three young African elephants, Harry, Sally and Duma. They aid in a conservation and public awareness program where you will not only hear about the mystical and somewhat sad story surrounding the Knysna elephants, but have an opportunity to touch and feed an elephant. Guests are transported to the elephants where they are able to touch, feed and interact with them. There are no barriers or fences to hinder this close encounter. The elephants live in a controlled free-range environment. Well trained guides will host you through this close encounter. Have a look at the curio shop or enjoy some refreshments on the terrace. |

MONKEYLAND Monkeyland offers visitors safaris conducted by experienced game rangers where you can expect to see many species of monkeys as well as a large variety of forest dwelling birds. After soaking up the splendour of a living forest, you can relax on the sunny deck of your lodge building while enjoying a meal from our kitchen or a cocktail from our bar. Monkeyland lies 16km east of Plettenberg Bay along the N2 just before the Nature’s Valley turn off.
