Diections to Equus Horse Safaris (275kms. from Johannesburg, a 3 hour drive)

1. Take the N1 highway north towards Pretoria and bypass Pretoria on the Nl toward Pietersburg.
   
2. Pass through tollgate north of Pretoria and again at the Carousel. At the third set of tollgates, exit left to Nylstroom (Modimole). You are now on the R33.
   
3. Stay on the R33, straight through the town of Nylstroom (Modimole).
   
4. Travel 60 kms. to the town of Vaalwater.
   
5. At the four-way stop in Vaalwater, continue straight ahead.
   
6. After 1.6 km. on your left you will see a Spar shop, a Total petrol station, and the Black Mamba Curio Shop. Continue straight ahead (road no longer numbered) towards Thabazimbi and Bulgerivier for 6.2 kms. to the Bakkers Pass Road. At the petrol station, ignore the right hand turn of the R33 to Ellisras (Lephalale).
   
7. Turn left on to Bakkers Pass Road, a very good dirt road.
   
8. Go 24 kms. and turn left at the Equus Horse Safaris sign.
   
9. Follow the Equus signs for 3.2 kms. to reach the gate of the reserve. On entering the reserve, turn immediately left at the Bush Camp Guests sign and continue to the marked parking area.
