  1. Deposits and Payments. When booking more than 30 days in advance, a 50% deposit is required within 7 days to confirm the booking. The balance is payable 30 days before the arrival date. When booking less than 30 days in advance, full payment is required within 7 days to confirm the booking.
  2. Cancellation Fees and Refunds. 20% of total cost if cancelled 30 days or more before arrival, 50% of total cost if cancelled 15 to 30 days before arrival, 100% of total cost if cancelled 1 to 15 days before arrival. No refunds are given if a guest leaves before their booked departure date.
  3. Payment Methods. Visa and Master cards are accepted by phone or fax to the Johannesburg central reservations office, but not at the camp. We do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards. Cash payments accepted in South African Rands, US Dollars, Pounds Sterling and Euro (sorry, no coins). Personal cheque payments in Rands only accepted from South African residents. Traveller's cheques in the above-mentioned currencies are accepted at the central reservations office and at the camp.
  4. Indemnity. All guests are required to sign a standard indemnity form on arrival, and will not be permitted to ride or walk on the reserve before signing the indemnity.
  5. Equus Horse Safaris reserves the right, without further notice, to make use of any photographs or film taken on rides or walks by our staff for general publicity purposes without payment or permission.
  6. Equus Horse Safaris will endeavour to uphold prices quoted, but reserves the right to change prices without incurring obligations.
  7. Equus Horse Safaris reserves the right to judge a rider's competence and ability. Any rider, who, in the sole opinion of the guide, is unable to control their horse or who poses a threat to the safety of themselves, their horse or other riders in the group, will be dismounted.
